Our Fees

Dr Marshall’s fees for a consultation are based on the Australian Medical Association’s recommended fee. While some of this fee is covered by Medicare, the remaining balance will need to be paid by you on the day. Health funds do not cover this consultation fee.

Our friendly staff members will provide you with further information about fees at the time of booking your appointment.

Means of Payment
Harbour Orthopaedics accepts credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, etc.), debit cards and cash.

Do I need private health insurance?
Private health insurance allows you and your family to access care at both Baringa Private Hospital and the Coffs Harbour Day Surgery. Private health insurance allows you to have control over your healthcare by choosing your provider, facility and timing of your treatment.

Can I access Harbour Orthopaedics without private health insurance?
As Dr Marshall has a public appointment at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus, private health insurance is not necessary to access our services. Surgery can be provided free of charge at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

It is important to keep in mind however that without private health insurance, a surgery waitlist does apply. Currently, the wait time on surgery for most conditions exceeds 12 months.

Cancellation Policy
Please provide us with 24 hours notice if you would like to cancel or change your appointment. This ensures we are able to give your appointment to someone else who needs to see us.

If you do not show up for your appointment, we will notify both you and your doctor that you did not attend and you will need to contact our reception staff to reschedule an appointment.
